In July of 2000, Dr. Charles and Susie French purchased the funeral home across the street from our French Funeral Home location. Phil and Betty Slack previously owned it, and after Phil died Betty kept up the business. Due to some health problems of her own, Betty decided to sell the business that summer of 2000. In the purchase of Lawson-Slack Funeral Home, was also the purchase of Schoppenhorst Funeral Home in Clay City. Susie French also serves as funeral director at all locations.
