Carl Timothy Vanatti

May 19, 1941 - August 20, 2010

Carl Timothy “Tim” Vanatti, 69 of Brazil died unexpectedly August 20, 2010 at Terre Haute Regional Hospital.

He was born May 19, 1941 in Clay County the son of Claude Vanatti and Mildred Moss Vanatti. He graduated from Brazil High School. He served in the Air National Guard for several years. He worked as a welder in the coal mines as a young man. He retired from PDF in Brazil working as a fabricator.

Tim had been a member of Fairview Christian Church for many years. He enjoyed being out of doors, wood working, gardening and deer hunting.

Survivors include his wife Sue Anne Knox Vanatti; three daughters, Becky White (Jimmy), Beth Walker and Brenda Smith (Kurt); 6 grandchildren, Amanda Gootee, Josh Lewicki, Tyler Coltharp, Jadyn Smith, Brandon White and Logan White; three-great-grandchildren, Bailey, Emma and Aubrey Lewicki; two sisters, Mary Reisinger (Charlie) and Alma Blubaugh (Jimmy); many nieces and nephews and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Mark, Milton, Aaron and Merlyn Vanatti; two grandchildren, Haley Dyer and Garrett Gootee.

Funeral Information

Services will be held Tuesday at 1:00pm at French Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Ford officiating. Burial will follow at Bee Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 11-1:00.
