Monthly Support Group for anyone regardless of where you are in your own grief journey. Meeting the first Monday of each month, 10-11:30am. Co-Sponsored by VNA Hospice and The French Family. Parent Support group meeting the 2nd & 4th Tuesday of each month 7-8:30pm. This group is for parents who have lost a child only. Sponsored by The French Family. Meetings are held at Grace Chapel, 2104 W US Hwy 40, Brazil. If you have questions about either group, please call Cindy at 446-2206.

Billy Easter

Billy Easter, 86, passed away September 3, 2011 following a tragic mower accident.

He was born January 30, 1925 in Saline City the son of Walter Easter and Mary (Harr) Easter.

He attended Ashboro and Saline City School.

He married Doris Barnhart. Bill worked at Allisonís General Motors, plant 5, in Indianapolis for 43 years he retired in 1986. Bill began his career at Allisonís as a tool cutter and grinder, working his way to manufacturing engineer and finally retiring as one of the best in the nation at broaching air craft parts. Bill served in the United States Navy and Army.

Bill was a member of the Centerpoint Masonic Lodge, Saline City Labor Day Picnic Association. Bill enjoyed spending Sunday afternoons on the golf course.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife Doris Easter; children: Allen Lamarr Easter and Mary Ella Easter; Sister Rosemary Wallace, nephew Billy Allen Easter (Carolyn), Mark Allen Easter (Karen), Darci Allen as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Funeral Information

Services will be at French Funeral Home, in Brazil, Friday, September 9, 2011 at 6:00pm with Dr. Calvin and Yvonne Brandenburg officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home Friday from 1pm until time of services.
