Melanie N. Bemis, 14, of Brazil, died January 8, 2003 in an automobile accident. She was born March 7, 1988 the daughter of Brian and Tammy Morgan Bemis.

She was a freshman at Northview High School. She was a member of SADD. She enjoyed swimming, dancing and babysitting. She loved to spend time with family and friends.

She is survived by her parents, her brothers, Christopher Fox and Seth Bemis; her cousin Jeremiah "J.J." Bemis; grandparents, Otie and Linda Bemis of Carbon, Eunice and Alfred Morgan of Brazil, Betty and Ron Thompson of Brazil; great-grandmother Lottie Morgan of Arkansas; Aunts and Uncles, Nikki and Mitch Quick, Tina and Ted Holman, Michael and Dawn Bemis, Larry Bemis, Lori and Nathan Lewis, Rhonda and Don Skelton, Pam Morgan, Christina Morgan and Teresa and Bruce Hines; special friends, Brittaney Pruitt, Rachel Burk, Jessica Holman, and Brandi Dixon and a large extended family.

Funeral Information

Funeral Services will be Monday, January 13, 2003 at 1:00 pm at First Christian Church, 1875 W US Hwy 40, Brazil with Pastor Tim Russell officiating. Burial will be in Clearview Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, January 12, 2003 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at French Funeral Home, 421 E National Ave, Brazil.

Donations Information

The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Northview High School SADD Organization. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home and church.
