Bruce Allen Cory

Bruce Allen Cory, 51 of Terre Haute, died March 8, 2010 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.

He was born August 14, 1958 in Indianapolis, the son of Paul Cory and Ina Pauline Blackburn Cory. He graduated from Spencer High School and then attended Indiana University. He later graduated from beauty trade school and has been a stylist in Terre Haute for the past several years. He worked at Lexcel Salon for the past 16 years.

Bruce was a straight forward person, had a great sense of humor and was a devoted Dad to his daughters.

Survivors include his children, Alexis Cory and fiancé Joe Dagostino, of Hull, MA; Sarah Peace and husband Will of Terre Haute, Elizabeth “Lizzie” and fiancé Jake Barbee of Front Royal, VA, and Olivia Cory of Lakewood, CO; six grandchildren, Madeline, Dylan, Sadie, Annabelle, Caiden, and Leiland; one sister Alice Chamblin of Westfield, IN and one brother Duane Cory and wife Holly of Littleton, CO; several nieces and nephews; the mother of his children, Lori Patrick of Lakewood, CO; his extended family at Lexcel Salon and his host of clients and friends; and his best dog friend, “Rocky”

He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Cory; his step-father, Vernon Wools in 2008 and his mother Pauline Wools, March 1, 2010.

Funeral Information

A memorial tribute will be held for Bruce on Friday March 12, 2010 at 6p.m. at the Central Christian Church 4950 E. Wabash, Terre Haute. Friends may gather one hour prior to services at the church.

Following the memorial service there will be a candle-light vigil outside the Lexcel Salon, 4361 E. Wabash, Terre Haute. Arrangements were entrusted to French Funeral Home. According to his wishes cremation will take place.
