Dennis Ray Creasey

Dennis Ray Creasey, 60 of Brazil passed away February 3, 2010 unexpectedly.

He was born July 31, 1949 in Terre Haute, the son of Raymond and Ethel Farrimond Creasey.

He attended Wiley High School. Dennis proudly served his country during Vietnam in the U.S. Marine Corp. He served two tours beginning in 1969.

On July 14, 1976 he married Margaret Dalech Brown.

Dennis was a loving father to her sons and a devoted husband. He worked as a plate maker for Bemis Corp. for over 39 years. He was a member of the NRA and the VFW in West Terre Haute.

He enjoyed hunting, the Chicago Bears football team and drag racing. He helped his grandson build a drag racer and he was very proud of their team effort. He also enjoyed traveling, especially to New Orleans, Key West and Disney World.

He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Creasey; his mother Ethel Creasey Hughes and stepfather, Gordon Hughes.

Survivors include his wife Marg Creasey of Brazil; sons, Michael Brown, Richard Brown (Cindy)of Brazil and David Brown (Linda) of West Terre Haute; four grandchildren, Brian Brown , Dustin Brown (Stephanie), Jessica Smith (Adam) and Brandy Burris (Tracee); 2 great-grandchildren, Bailey Elizabeth Brown and Abigail Nicole Burris; three sisters, Alice Marie Slack (Bob) of Brazil, and Karen Causey and Lori Wycoff all of Terre Haute; several nieces and nephews and other extended family.

Funeral Information

Services will be held Saturday at 1:00pm at French Funeral Home with Rev. Ernie Rush officiating. Burial will follow at Calcutta Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 4-8pm and again Saturday prior to services.

Donations Information

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Heart Association or to the Marine Corp Toys for Tots.
