Mary Jean Dobson Mary Jean Dobson, 63 of Brazil died unexpectedly March 17, 2008 at 5:18am at her residence.
She was born March 2, 1945 in Clay County the daughter of William James “Jim” Lanham and Mary Alice Pierce Lanham.
She graduated from Brazil High School, Class of 1963. She was a member of the Carbon Baptist Church. She worked at Mallory, Inc.; the Movie Gallery and was currently working as a caregiver at a group home for Normal Life, Inc.
Mary has always been a dog lover and currently has several four legged friends. Mary enjoyed flowers, friends, and most of all family.
Survivors include her husband Larry Dobson, whom she married October 5, 1964; her father Jim Lanham of Brazil; two sons, Donald Wayne Dobson of Brazil and David James Dobson and wife Denise of Cunot; one daughter Lori Ann Dobson Dove and special friend Pete N. Sims of Brazil; former son-in-law, Dwayne Alan Dove of Brazil; four grandchildren, Branda Alice Dobson, Jacob Wayne Dobson, Taylor Marie Dove, Sierra Ruby Dobson; one sister and brother in law, Deloris Ann and Mike Hanson of Brazil; one niece Melinda Sue Weir; one nephew William Eric Hanson and wife Sherri; several great-nieces and nephews and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her mother and her aunt, Goldie Marie Carr in 2000.
Funeral Information
Services will be held Thursday at 1:00pm at Lawson-Miller Chapel with Jared Odle officiating. Burial will follow at Bee Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-8pm and again Thursday prior to services.
