A Poem for Cats

And God asked the feline spirit
Are you ready to come home?
Oh, yes, quite so, replied the precious soul
And, as a cat, you know I am most able
To decide anything for myself.

Are you coming then? asked God.
Soon, replied the whiskered angel
But I must come slowly
For my human friends are troubled
For you see, they need me, quite certainly.

But don't they understand? asked God
That you'll never leave them?
That your souls are intertwined. For all eternity?
That nothing is created or destroyed?
It just is....forever and ever and ever.

Eventually they will understand,

Kitty & La Gordilla

Kitty was very little when Pablo brought her home around November 1995. She was always sweet and never aggressive to us. She would let us hold her anytime and she was never afraid of us. We will always remember Kitty because she was very important in our lives.

La Gordilla came to our lives by chance when found under the car one night. She stayed with us and Pablo took care of her during her first year with us. She grew up and got fat and was always afraid of going outside. Her main interest was eating and was a quite cat. She had a very pretty face and sweet meow sound. She learned to live next to our other cat Kitty and was always trying to stay close to her.
La Gordilla disappeared the same time as Kitty did, in September/October 2006. We will never forget her, she was also a sweet part of our lives.
